Hydro-logic
Hydrology—the study of the movement of water
How does water reach me where I live in San Francisco? How does it shape the urban landscape around me?
The water I drink comes from a dammed and diverted section of the Tuolumne River, which originates in Yosemite National Park. It travels 167 miles through a sequence of choreographed and regulated movements until it reaches my tap. This body of work attempts to understand where my drinking water comes from and grasp the system’s logic.
